The Wake-up Call For Tribal Communities Of Goa!

United Tribal Associations’ Alliance (UTAA) was founded in October 2004, to represent Goa’s Gawda, Kunbi, and Velip tribal populations. The association is solely dedicated to advocating for the welfare of the Scheduled Tribes (STs) and ensuring that their constitutional rights are fully implemented.  UTAA strives to uplift these communities and enhance their quality of life through education, social reform, and political action.

Our milestones reflect a history of unwavering commitment to tribal rights and progress.

Oct 2007Massive Rally, Azad Maidan

Mobilized thousands to advocate for 12 key demands.

May 2008Jana Jagruti Rath Yatra

Conducted a state-wide awareness campaign reaching tribal communities in seven talukas.

Sept 2009Dharne Andolan

Successfully brought government attention to tribal demands through a 5-day peaceful protest.

Jul 2011 Balli Protest

A pivotal event in our struggle, where we lost two of our karyakartas but gained significant government commitments.
